Originally from Switzerland, she brought years of tourism experience with her and has been a steady, trusted presence ever since — endlessly responsible, warm, and known for going out of her way to make things happen.
As Sales & Reservations Manager, she’s the hand behind your booking — coordinating the details, confirming every arrangement, and making sure it’s all in place long before you arrive. With Monika looking after the plans, travelers are in caring, experienced hands from the first inquiry to the final confirmation.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Andrea embodies the true Pura Vida spirit. Calm, wise, and endlessly patient, she ensures that every detail of your trip runs smoothly from start to finish.
As a travel expert and office manager, Andrea combines local knowledge with exceptional organization and care, helping each guest experience the very best of Costa Rica — with ease, confidence, and a smile. Behind the scenes, she also keeps everything running like clockwork — coordinating with our local providers and making sure they’re paid properly and on time, so every tour, transfer, and hotel is confirmed and dependable.
Toni

Born and raised in Berlin, Toni made the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica his home more than sixteen years ago. A natural multitasker and deeply connected to the community and to the nature around him. At Gecko Trail, Toni looks after travellers who come to us through our partner site, Puerto Viejo Satellite, helping them arrange the bookings and local services they need — quickly, personally, and with genuine local know-how.
He also creates wedding in and around Puerto Viejo, and is a flower artist — crafting bouquets and floral decorations for special occasions. Whatever the moment calls for, Toni brings creativity and heart to it.

As a retreat leader and Costa Rica travel specialist, Nina creates seamless, soul-enriching experiences that connect travelers to nature, culture, and themselves. Her dedication to quality, authenticity, and personal service continues to shape Gecko Trail’s reputation for exceptional, worry-free travel. Nina moved to Costa Rica from Switzerland. She has made a home here with her family.
